About the artist

A lifetime at the easel

From an early age George was influenced by his father, also an artist, and after leaving school he attended Art College in West Yorkshire. He served in the British Army, worked on building sites, and spent his career with British Rail — painting all the while.

He is a member of many art societies including the International Guild of Artists and the York Art Society, has exhibited around the country, sold paintings in the United States, and more recently has held his own successful exhibitions — with support and inspiration from the art community and his family throughout.

“It is my hope that those who view my work will feel a connection to the beauty and wonder that I strive to capture on canvas.”

Commissions

A painting made just for you

Over the years George has received numerous commissions — a cherished family pet, a beloved landscape, or a special memory. Each piece is a labour of love, ensuring every detail is captured and the final artwork is a true reflection of its subject.
